Cheek Enhancement

The board-certified plastic surgeons at Center for Plastic Surgery use cheek enhancement surgery with implants to help women and men from Washington, DC; Chevy Chase and Bethesda, MD; Arlington and Fairfax, VA; and surrounding areas enhance facial definition and have more prominent cheekbones. These plastic or synthetic implants are placed on top of the cheekbones through incisions in the mouth.

What to Expect from Cheek Implant Surgery

You will be on a liquid or soft diet for the first few days. Most swelling will subside by 10 to 14 days after surgery, at which time you may resume exercise. Possible risks associated with cheek implants are infection or numbness of the upper lip. Complications are rare and usually temporary.
