Northern Virginia Skin Care | Ultrapulse Laser
If you are concerned with fine lines around the mouth and eyes, uneven pigmentation, areas of dryness, scarring or other skin damage, laser skin resurfacing may be an ideal solution. With Coherent CO2 Ultrapulse laser skin resurfacing, the outer layer of damaged skin is stripped away and new skin cells form to create smooth, tight, younger-looking skin. Because Coherent CO2 Ultrapulse treatment is bloodless and does not involve chemicals that cover the surface of the skin, our plastic surgeons are able to clearly see exactly how much tissue to treat and remove during the procedure. Our clients receive Coherent CO2 Ultrapulse resurfacing under anesthesia in our accredited Northern Virginia surgical facility of at the Surgery Center of Sibley Memorial Hospital in Washington DC.
WHAT TO EXPECT FROM COHERENT CO2 ULTRAPULSE
In the first few days after the procedure, your skin will “weep” as the dermal layer forms new collagen to rebuild the skin from the bottom up. It will then undergo a period of crusting for a few days. When the crusting subsides, the fresh new skin will have a pink quality, which will fade over a period of two to six weeks. You can easily camouflage the pinkness with makeup, applied four to seven days following the procedure.
Post-procedure discomfort is usually minor, requiring little or no medication, but because pain is highly individual, our plastic surgeons will make sure that you are kept comfortable during and after your Coherent CO2 Ultrapulse resurfacing.
We invite our Washington DC, Maryland and Northern Virginia clients to inquire about Coherent CO2 Ultrapulse skin resurfacing and how it can help give you smoother, fresher, younger-looking skin. The specific risks and the suitability of Coherent CO2 Ultrapulse treatment for a given individual can be determined only at the time of consultation. All procedures have some degree of risk. Minor complications occur occasionally and do not affect a successful outcome. Major complications are rare.
