Virginia Cosmetic Surgeon | Cheek Implant
Cheek implants are used to enhance facial definition and create a more prominent cheekbone. These plastic or synthetic implants are placed on top of the cheekbones through incisions in the mouth. You will be on a liquid or soft diet the first few days. Most swelling will subside by ten to fourteen days after surgery at which time you may resume exercise. Possible risks associated with cheek implants are infection or numbness of the upper lip. Complications are rare and usually temporary.
