What is Belotero Balance®?

Belotero Balance is an injectable cosmetic that is used to provide temporary volume to smooth out lines and wrinkles around the mouth as well as nasolabial folds that run from the sides of the nose to the corners of the mouth. Belotero Balance is made of hyaluronic acid which when injected, integrates with the skin to fill and plump aging areas for a more youthful appearance. Belotero Balance is particularly good at treating vertical lip lines above and around the lips.

  • Nasolabial folds – Belotero can be used to fill and soften the appearance of moderate to severe nasolabial folds.
  • Vertical Lip Lines – These lip lines are also known also known as “smokers lines” can be quickly filled in and corrected with Belotero balance.
  • Corner/Smile Lines – Etched in corner lines or “smile lines” can be smoothed out easily with the use of Belotero balance.
  • Chin wrinkles – Over time or with repeated movement, a horizontal line can form across the chin. Belotero Balance can fill the line for a smoother complexion.

The Treatment

After consulting with the practitioner regarding your goals, they will mark the areas you would like treated and apply numbing cream for your comfort. Once the treatment areas are numb, they will begin injecting the Belotero into your areas of choice. The number and depth of the injections will vary depending on what type of filler is used and the desired result.

Results & Recovery

After dermal fillers, there is little to no downtime required of the patient, except for a few things to avoid for the first 24 hours post-treatment. Minor redness, swelling, or bruising at the injection site is normal and should resolve within the week. The results you receive from Belotero Balance will last about six months or more depending on the injection site. If the area injected is in an area that experiences a lot of movement, the filler may fade faster there than more static areas.
