This patient underwent a DIEP (Deep Inferior Epigastric Perforator) flap breast reconstruction following a mastectomy. The DIEP flap technique uses the patient’s own abdominal skin and fat to create a natural-looking breast without sacrificing abdominal muscles, allowing for a more comfortable recovery and maintaining core strength.

In the before photos, you can see the patient’s appearance prior to reconstruction. The after images, taken several months post-surgery, highlight the restored breast contour, symmetry, and the natural result achieved using the patient’s own tissue. The abdomen also benefits from a contouring effect similar to a tummy tuck, as seen in the post-operative images.
