Facelift in Washington, DC, Northern Virginia, and Maryland

Over the years, we have refined our approach to the facelift. Washington, DC, Northern Virginia, and Maryland patients know that our work is defined by what’s best for each individual and can include a combination of procedures—both surgical and nonsurgical. We are known throughout the Washington DC area for facelifts performed with skill and artistry and for outcomes that result in the restoration of youthful—yet age-appropriate—appearances for each of our patients.

Your Facelift Can Include a Combination of Procedures

Your facelift procedure should be “custom-designed” for you. In our experience, every Washington DC facelift is a unique combination. A facelift for many patients may primarily be a “neck lift” or some combination of procedures that focus on the lower face, jawline and neck. For others, aging is most apparent in the upper and lower eyelid areas as well as the cheek and brow areas, so a “facelift” will focus on these areas.

“Dr. French listened to my concerns and gave me a natural, refreshed and more youthful look. I do not looked pulled in any way.”Read more patient reviews

Still others will gain the most benefit from a traditional facelift, also called Rhytidectomy, which does a superb job of addressing generalized signs of aging. Any combination of surgical procedures to remove accumulated fat, repair muscles that have stretched and remove excess skin is called a “facelift.”

Many times a facelift recommendation includes laser resurfacing and other non-surgical procedures such as BOTOX® Cosmetic injections, collagen treatments, fat injections and overall skin care. Some patients have other procedures at the time of their facelifts. These include liposuction, rhinoplasty, and chin and cheek implants.. Facelift Washington DC

The best place to begin is a consultation with a qualified plastic surgeon who is experienced in facial cosmetic procedures. At CPS, the consultation is free. You will experience our unique, thoughtful approach right from the start. We listen carefully to you, your concerns and expectations. We present all appropriate options for you from skin care and non-surgical procedures to appropriate facial rejuvenation surgeries. We will explain the benefits of each and we encourage you to ask questions.

Facelift terminology can be confusing, so it’s best to beware of gimmicks and promises that sound too good to be true. When you come in for a free consultation, we will begin the discussion about what will best address your areas of concern and serve to restore the youthful appearance you desire. We urge you to avoid the “all-or-nothing” approaches that can lead to a look that is unbalanced, extreme, “windswept” or artificial.

There is no “right” age for a facelift. Whenever changes due to aging, sun damage or genetic factors begin to bother you, we invite you to have a free consultation. For some people, this is as soon as there is any sense of “drooping.” Others wait until changes are more advanced and jowl formation begins. Learn more about how the aging process unfolds.

The answer is as individual as you are. While surgery can turn back the clock, it does not stop aging. Facial aging will continue at a normal rate for you. Some patients begin to consider a second facelift in six to ten years. Many patients never have a second procedure.

We know you are in the midst of a process-finding the plastic surgeon you are most comfortable with as well as considering whether a facelift is right for you and whether this is the best time in your life for a facelift.
